Camping Packing Tips

Everyone knows packing can be one of the most stressful parts of traveling. There’s always that fear of forgetting to bring something, or leaving something behind when the trip is over. Well stress no longer, here are a few camping packing tips to help make packing for a camping trip easy and stress free.

Tip 1: make a list

This is the easiest thing you can do before going on a trip. If you know about your trip ahead of time it’s a great time to start writing things down. It keeps you from forgetting important items because you didn’t wait to the last minute to start. It’s also a great way to check off items as you are packing. But more specifically for a camping trip its best to make separate lists shelter, cooking, bedding, clothes and personal. This keeps things more organized which will make your packing experience much less stressful.

Tip 2: Don’t fold, roll

To save space when packing the best method is rolling your clothes. This will work in both a suitcase and a backpack. Rolling also decreases chances of creases and wrinkles on your favorite garments.

Tip 3: Pack light

Bring only the things you need. If you are traveling with other people divide up some of the responsibilities. For example, one person can bring the supplies for the shelter and someone else can bring the cooking utensils. By doing so it eliminates bringing extra equipment that may never be used. But if you are traveling alone, remember to bring only the things you know you will use. Don’t bring extra clothes or personal items that don’t serve a purpose.

Tip 4: Know where you are going

By researching about where you are traveling to helps the packing process so you know exactly what to bring. Simply by checking out the weather you have an idea of what kind of climate to expect. You can also find out if the campgrounds have bathrooms/showers. By finding out more about where you are traveling to can help eliminate packing thing you won’t need.

Hope these camping packing tips help you on your next camping trip. Good luck and happy packing!
