Ski Trip Tips

Ready to hit the fresh snow? Use these ski trip tips to make sure you have a successful winter getaway!

A few things you need to make sure to pack:

  • Sunglasses or goggles
  • All ski gear
  • Long underwear and heavy sweaters
  • Snow boots (for when you’re not wearing your ski boots!)
  • Wool socks that resist moisture
  • Hand and toe warmers
  • Body lotion and lip balm
  • Ski bag and boot bag

If it’s been a while since you last skied, make sure to brush up on your skills on the easy hills. Also, if anything feels funky with your boots, skis, or bindings, take them to the pro shop and have the bindings adjusted and the skis sharpened and waxed. This will make a world of a difference when you’re skiing, and will keep you safer.

If you are bringing children along, make sure to put them in ski lessons. Even though you may have skied for years, always sign your children up for at least one full day of ski school. Not only will they learn the basics with a professional, but you will also get the day to yourself to shred the black diamonds.

Before going out for the day, make sure to stretch since your body may not be used to using these skiing muscles. You should also stretch after you come in from skiing. If your muscles are extremely sore, don’t be afraid to take an ibuprofen and sit by the fire with a good book.

Make sure to use these ski trip tips on your next ski trip. We wish you sunshine and powder!
